The design is quite intricate forming squares and diamonds
A very good friend gave me this design - thus the name. It is one of my favourites - woven again on 8 shafts - silk makes the design come alive, and the drape of this scarf is just wonderful. I do it in two colours too
Here we have a scarf woven into two bold coloured silks – they work together beautifully. Again using 8 shafts. One side of the scarf is predominantly blue and the other side gentian, As the silk catches the light it has a “shot”effect, the silk changing colour as it catches the light. Silk is just a wonderful fibre.
This a another silk scarf which is a variation of the design used for the Blue/Gentian Scarf. Again in silk with one side of the scarf royal blue, and the other side a paler blue and with a striped effect in the border and edges - Very effective.
This design is called a fan weave – this is totally different to the other scarves, as the warp is “bent” as you weave thus causing this fan effect – very effective – and silk again is perfect – its is completely reversible, and wonderful to wear.
Here I have combined black with teal coloured silk – a blue/green colour. Again using 8 shafts. The design is quite intricate forming squares and diamonds The silk is perfect for this design it just catches the light and feels just wonderful. The men quite often buy this scarf for themselves!
The design of this cream silk scarf is based on a theory by the Greek Mathematician Fibonnaci - which means the stripes and block design used is placed in a certain way - I have done a mirror image of my design. The blocks catch the light and it is completely reversible - silk is perfect for this design.
This is a beautiful feminine lace design, particularly effective as it is set into a plain border – again silk is used – it just gleams and catches the light to show the design to perfection.
Here a similar technique is used as in the scarf above, but to form regular blocks – this scarf is woven using 8 shafts. The silk yarn is perfect – catching the light and glows and shimmers.
Here the silk scarf is again woven on 8 shafts using 3/l and 1/3 twill – to form stripes and a chequerboard effect. Very effective the way the silk catches the light and brings out the design.
These scarves are woven in silk, each in a different design. See how the way the light reflects the silk - thus bringing out details of the designs.
